Beautiful winter & one cute boy
Last night there was heavy fog which created a beautiful frost on all the trees this morning. The pictures do not quite capture what a lovely sight it was.

67 degrees below freezing...
It was cold today. When we awoke, it was -35 degrees (Farenheit). Our high temp for the day was a toasty -17 degrees.
And what does one do in such weather? . . . nothing much different. We simply put on long underwear & warm sweaters (& force our son to wear socks). We give our cars 10 minutes' mercy warmup before driving, lest they revolt. We go to the bookstore to fend off cabin fever. We go to work still. We make good use of our gas fireplaces. We play "chase" with our toddler (at his request) because it warms us up. And, after Troy brings home carryout pizza, we have to rewarm it in the oven since five minutes in the car cooled it down.
It's cold, but otherwise little different. We enjoy our cozy home and thank God that, instead of chopping wood all afternoon, we can simply pay Xcel Energy and sit in front of a gas fireplace. God is good, life is good, ...even when it's a bit cold.
