Easter!

It was a little sad to be back at home for Easter after such a fun week with family, but we still made some great memories.  We had some bunny cinnamon rolls for breakfast and the kids opted to wait until after breakfast to do the egg hunt.  The were pleased with their treats and surprises!

Then it was on to church Teresa got new hair chalk for Easter, so we tried out the pink color for church.  She got lots of compliments on her style!  The whole family was looking pretty good!

In the afternoon, we attempted a family outing.  Our initial plans did not work out, but we had a lot of fun at a playground on the river and at a skate park.  Even though it was a chilly day the kids loved playing and being outside.  At the skate park they were pretending to be ninja warriors climbing up the warped walls.

It was a happy day!

Spring break travels

We had a chance to all travel to see family over spring break.  Troy's reading week was the same week as spring break for the first time this year.  We got to spend time with Troy's family and mine.  Grandma Judy made the trip down and Troy's brother even flew in for a long weekend.  It was the week before Easter, but we were able to celebrate Palm Sunday with Troy's family.  Teresa had some new dresses to wear, so the girls got all spiffed up for church.

A highlight of the church service was a real donkey coming into the sanctuary during kids time.

At Susie's we enjoyed time playing with 'cousins', aunts, uncles and Grandma.  We also spent some time out on the big snow mountain, going ice skating and to an indoor playground.

At Grandma Rebecca's and Grandpa Ken's we had lots more cousin time!  There was coloring, chasing, video  games, outside play, board games and more.  Everyone worked to color some Easter eggs too.

Family outings included a trip to the y for swimming and walks down to the lake to get some fresh air.
We are blessed by the time we get to spend with family!
