Happy Halloween!

It was a beautiful day for Halloween.  No need for coats and jackets and lots of kids out to trick or treat.  This is the first year that we ran out of candy.  I plan for about 150 kids.  We probably had around 200.  We were giving away the kid's snacks!  I finally told Troy he needed to turn off the lights.  We still had trick or treaters ring the door bell and we had to turn them away.

I chose to dress up as Minnie Mouse again this year.  Troy picked his Obi-wan costume.  He is enjoying his new role of handing out candy since he doesn't walk around with the kids anymore.

Timothy had two friends join him to trick or treat.  They also had dinner with us before hand.  I made the pumpkin appetizer tray again.  By 5:15 the kids were fed and getting ready.

Teresa and her group of 5 friends were dressing up as flying squirrels.  Timothy picked out a horse mask to go as this year.  He matched one of his friends.  The both got quite a haul of candy.  They were not into trading as much this year.  I think Teresa would have liked too, but the boys lost interest.  She did get some trades done with her cousin by facetime!

We carved the pumpkins on Sunday night.  Teresa picked a golden retriever and Timothy chose a Jack Skellington face.  I think they turned out pretty cute!

Another Happy Halloween!

Confirmation and Family Visit #2

We were happy to host another round of family for Timothy's confirmation.  Jeff and three kids came down with my mom for a quick weekend visit.  They weren't here for long, but we got in quite a bit of fun from bass guitar jam sessions, to really long uno games to trips to Hobby Lobby.

We also introduced my family to Freddy's.  It was our celebration dinner together!

And then it was confirmation day!  It was a lovely church service, and Timothy had a lot of people surrounding him as he was confirmed.  He looked pretty spiffy in his new clothes, which he changed out of the second he got home! Teresa even dressed up too!  There were 6 others confirmed with him.

After confirmation, we had a little celebration at our house.  We had a few church friends and a few friends of Timothy.  It was a nice afternoon.

It was a wonderful weekend to celebrate Timothy!
