4th of July Weekend!

This year our family split up for the 4th of July holiday.  The girls went north and the boys stayed home.  We both had fun!  Teresa and I headed up to spend time with my mom and see my brothers.  We ate ice cream, shopped and got to hang out with family.  Throw in some hallmark movies, fireworks, an accordian lesson and a new puppy and the weekend really couldn't be beat!
Eating ice cream at our favorite place-- Honey and Mackey's.

Hanging out with cousins and a new puppy!

After a morning of shopping on "National Teresa Day" we stopped for lunch at Chili's.  Teresa's first time there.  She approved!

It never hurts to have a few accordian lessons with Grandma.  I am not sure Teresa will be signing up to play this fall.

Lake time at dusk with your cousin bestie.  Life does not get much better.

Fireworks all around the lake on the 4th!

And of course a little more ice cream at the DQ because, why not!
Some of the things the boys did were watching the skydivers practice jump into the mall parking lot. (With a little DQ ice cream too!)

Fireworks down by the river.

And Mickey pancakes for breakfast!  It was a great holiday weekend for all of us!

Baptism celebration!

We celbrated Timothy's Baptism birthday in a very low key way.  He slept half the day, but i did have chocolate sprinkle pancakes for him when he woke up.  He probably would have picked donuts, but I saved those for a few days later when Troy could have some tto. (He was fasting for a colonoscopy that day)
We did not do any water activities, but Timothy enjoyed some video games online with friends.  We did treat him to a dinner out.  He chose Freddy's.  And I made him light his baptism candle and Troy and I prayed a blessing on him.

We are proud of this boy--growing up fast!  Here is a cute picture with our foster kitten MooCow , who is a favorite of his!
