Back to the playground

Yesterday was a lovely day allowing Timothy and I to make our first trip to the outdoor playground! (As opposed to the indoor ones we hang out during the winter.) Timothy has been pointing out every playground he sees from the car, so I think he was eagerly awaiting this day. We spent over an hour climbing, sliding, swinging, and watching other children. I think Timothy could have stayed two hours had I let him. It is nice to have the return of warmer weather.

Birthday Celebration

T0 celebrate my birthday this year I decided that I wanted to spread some joy to others. One thing we did was deliver hot cross buns to some friends. Timothy was my baking helper. Below he is adding the final egg wash before we baked the rolls.
I was out with friends the evening before my birthday. Timothy and Troy were busy decorating and making surprises for me. With a little help from his daddy, Timothy made this beautiful orange flower for me. He also made a fish picture ignoring Troy's suggestions that he decorate a nice heart for mommy!
And of course, Timothy was right there when we brought out the cake. He helped blow out the candles and patiently waited to try a piece of the brownie strawberry torte.

Think Pink

We had the 19 week ultrasound this past week. Thankfully all is well with our little one, and all is well with me. (Still no bed rest this time around and hoping it stays that way!)

And as the title suggests we did find out the gender. We are having a little girl!

Once again Troy was right on with his prediction. We also had two 5 year olds, and two 2 year olds voting for a girl. One good friend thinking it was a boy (which meant girl as she is always wrong.) And perhaps the strongest predictor...my brother and sister-in-law just had a baby girl. Each of their children has a cousin of a similar age that is the same gender.

With all that I guess it was meant to be. :-) And we are delighted...first to hear that all is well thus far and to Think Pink!

What does a 2 year old do when...

...his mom is making bread?

He makes his own bread with lots and lots of flour!

I gave Timothy a small piece of bread dough to play with while I was kneading my own batch. Well, it did not take him long to discover the cup of flour I had sitting nearby. And since it was making him happy and not all that hard to clean up, I let him have fun!
