We went to the 4pm church service and snapped a family pic by the tree. We are all rather dressed up...at least for us!
The kids were up by 6:15/6:30 on Christmas morning and we did some present opening, had a yummy breakfast and enjoyed time to lounge around.
Some favorite gifts were a Kylo Ren Lego set and a Dog Encyclopedia! Then it was off to the cities to stay with Grandma Rebecca and Grandpa Ken. They have not had company on Christmas Day itself, so they were thrilled to have us come!!
We usually spend time at Susie's at Christmas and get to see Grandma Judy there. But circumstances did not allow that this year, but we still did a little celebrating together via Skype. The kids opened their gifts while Grandma watched on the computer.
We even got a family pic with Grandma Judy on the ipad!
Troy drove up north to visit his mom and the kids and I stayed behind. We filled our time with many things. Timothy had 4 puzzles that were completed over the course of the week. We had special time with our littlest cousins Henrik and Cal! We went to the swimming pool. Teresa, Grandma and I got to go to a special Beauty and the Beast theater show. We also played Holiday trivia, Teresa played piano and we just had lots of fun!
And of course we always enjoy some good quality time with "the cousins." We had three full days with them. One day Grandma Rebecca planned an impromptu birthday party for Timothy complete with games and cake!
On the day of our family Christmas celebration, the kids once again staged the Christmas play. Timothy was King Herod and one of the wise men. Teresa was Mary this year. In one picture she is cuddling baby Jesus--a reindeer fill in after Henrik got to fussy for the part!
There were of course many nice presents given and received. We are blessed with such wonderful families--mine and Troy's.
Returning home is never a fun occasion. We did have one thing to look forward to though--The Last Jedi! It was enjoyed by all!
