Father's Day!

It seems like a repeat of last year's celebrations, but if it works, it works!  After church we went to Starbuck's and the kids got some drinks.

Then it was onto the riverwalk--pretty much Troy's favorite spot in the whole town!  We walked and enjoyed the warm summer temperatures.

A few pictures were taken to remember the day.  The afternoon was a bit rainy and we all just hung out at home.
Troy picked bbq for dinner and Dairy Queen for the after dinner treat.  As a gift he got some Guardians of the Galaxy cereal and little American flags to decorate his landscaping.  It was a good day and a very special Father honored!

Anniversary!

We recently celebrated our anniversary with a few different outings.  The day before our anniversary, we went for a bike ride together along the Bee Branch trail and out to the lock and dam.  Then we tried a new mini donut shop.  The bike ride was lovely and thankfully the ride back to the car seemed way shorter than the ride out to the dam!  The donuts were delicious!  We got to pick four different toppings.

On our anniversary, we had a nice dinner of greek salad at home.  It was also the last day of school, so I made a dirt and worms cake to celebrate with the kids.

The donut shop after biking.

Later in the week, we had a kid free night, so we went out to dinner at a brewery known for its barbeque.  Troy had burnt ends and I had pulled chicken sandwhich.  Both were tasty!
We had plently of time before picking Timothy up from driver's ed, so we walked around the night farmer's market enjoying the music and atmosphere.  We ended the night with a lovely walk along the riverfront!  Looking forward to another great year with a great guy!

The last day!

We made it to the end of another year.  Timothy finished his first year of high school and Teresa made it through the middle year of middle school.  Neither of the kids loved their teachers this year, but the school year was good overall.
Adjusting to high school took some time and some classes were challenging for Timothy, but he worked hard when it counted.  He took weightlifting and enjoyed that class a lot.  He plans to take that in coming years.

Teresa enjoyed being in the musical again and has met some new choir friends.  She doesn't love all the material she is learning, but she is a hard worker and tries her best.  She is happy to be the oldest at her school next year.

We didn't have a big celebration.  A special breakfast and a special dessert.  Teresa has a party/sleepover with friends tonight.  Troy and I are also celebrating our anniversary.  I did make a dirt and worms cake to celebrate the end of school.  Timothy obliged me with a picture!
