1st day of preschool

Timothy was very excited to start up his second year of preschool.  He switched to a different school this year, but it seems like it will be a good change.  One of his best buddies is in his class and we even arrived at school at the same time.  He had lots to say about his day and he was not so worn out after school this year.  He is excited to go back again on Friday.  Only Teresa had tears because she did not get to go along to drop him off, nor go in the classroom at pick up.  Happy first day to our preschooler!
Sprinkle pancake breakfast.

First day pose.  We started a trend last year with no shoes and he remembered it this year!

Heading into school with his friend.

1st day of school brownie ice cream cake!  Starting school is lots of fun!!

From headbands to bows...

... to ponytails to braids.  I succeeded at french braiding Teresa's hair this morning.  I have attempted it before, but usually I give up due to her constantly turning her head and pulling away.  This morning, while she dined on Cheerios and bananas, I somehow got the task done and looking decent.  I thought for sure it would never survive nap, but it lasted all day.  Wow!

Fun family times

Another wonderful vacation...visiting family and having fun adventures!   We spent a few days in Madison with my aunt and then stayed with my parents for a few days.  In Madison we hit up a few of the same places...children's museum, and zoo.  We also visited Bouncy town USA, the Farmer's market and the Wisconsin historical museum and the capital building.  And of course we stopped at the cheese store--gotta have cheese in Wisconsin!  And we enjoyed custard at the first Culver's.  We enjoyed time with my aunt--spending quiet evenings visiting when the kids were sleeping and filling her house with all kinds of energy when they were awake. :-)
The rooftop gardens at the Children's museum.

Teresa feeding the goats at the zoo.  She was so excited about the goats, but after one try she walked away.  I guess the slobbery experience was not what she hoped for!

Riding the carousel at the zoo.

Searching for trolls in Mt. horeb.

Book time and snuggles with Aunt Mary.

Timothy , the computer whiz, makes a dog picture for cousin Carol.
Aunt Mary taught Timothy this game and he loved it!
Visiting my parents we got to go to a new playground, visit an aquarium, celebrate Teresa's birthday, play with the cousins and spend time with Grandma and Grandpa.  Wow, what fun!

Timothy is really into sharks right now, so he was so excited to go the the aquarium.  Here he points out the many sharks swimming right above him.  We went through twice so we could see the shark feeding in the afternoon.
Not a bad deal to get another birthday party!  Teresa was very happy to open presents and enjoyed when everyone sang to her.  And the ice cream treat wasn't too bad either!
It's great to visit family, see new sites and enjoy time together, but it's good to be home too.
