Baby's nose
Last night Timothy was saying hi to his baby sister. He patted my belly and then took notice of my belly button. We were pointing out his belly button and Troy's belly button. Timothy turned backed to my belly button and said "baby sister's nose?" Hmm...maybe he doesn't quite get the whole baby thing!

Baseball, Showers & Thursday mornings
As the title suggests, this post is a bit random with a few events of the past week.
Last Sunday was beautiful and we had some nice family time outside. Troy is trying to introduce Timothy to baseball. Timothy loved running to 'catch' the ball when one of us hit it. He also enjoyed putting his baseball equipment away and taking it again.
On Tuesday night, Troy and I went to what I thought was a party to get to know some new couples from church. Being that it was just a party to hang out and mingle, I did not think it a big deal when our babysitter was a little late and thus we arrived a good 30 minutes late. Much to my surprise, it was actually a baby shower for me and a good friend of mine that is also expecting this summer. I was very surprised!! Many of our good friends were there--guys and gals-- and it was a wonderful evening. Everyone designed a one of a kind onsie and the gifts given were all of the practical sort--diapers, wipes, soap, etc. One friend even made one of those cute "cakes" made from diapers! I felt very blessed by our friends.

And finally, it was another Thursday morning breakfast surprise for me. Troy treated us to a raspberry french toast bake and fruit smoothies. The smoothies were special, however, because they had a baby girl as a decoration (well the best baby girl you can make in a small glass using cool whip as your medium!) Timothy really liked his baby, and called it special--does that mean he is excited for a sister or that he likes cool whip...hmmm!?

A new look
This past week my dad and Troy took on a major remodeling project in our house. We had textured walls (think of a bumpy ceiling texture) in nearly every room in the house. Now no bumps remain except for in a few closets. They sanded our kitchen, living room, upstairs hallway, entryway, family room, and bedroom. Thanks to power sanders attached to vacuums the dust wasn't even too bad.
Then they painted the upstairs and entryway. The color is Lily pad which says very little, but it is a great shade of light green. Unfortunately the pictures don't show the color well. We ditched the vertical blinds and put up brown curtains. I am proud of these, as I did some sewing to make them work with our windows. (I am not the best sewer, so this was a big accomplishment!)
We are very happy with the new look. Below are a few before and after photos...

Rainy day fun
I thought it was time to put up another picture of our busy boy. We have had several days of rain lately, so we have rediscovered play dough. It is especially fun since we recently made a new batch. Nothing beats nice soft play dough!
Timothy is getting better at smiling for the camera first, and then demanding to see the picture!
