Here are a few highlights of the past weekend. We had conferences last week (which went really well for both Timothy and Teresa!) which meant some days off of school. So the kids and I went up to visit Aunt Mary for a couple days. We had fun playing at her house, watching a few shows, going bowling, playing at an indoor playground, having sleepovers and enjoying a Culver's ice cream cone!
Troy stayed home and tried to get ahead on some work. But of course he missed us and wanted to have a few special things for us when we arrived home. One surprise was a giant tiger cookie! Knowing how much Teresa loves big cats, he couldn't pass this one up. We all shared the cookie and loved it. And since we loved it so much, Troy went back the next day to buy the lion cookie! He said he is done buying giant cookies for awhile now!!
At Timothy's school there are giant snow mountains that he cannot play on during the day. He has been wanting to go on a weekend to get a chance to play on them. So we made a family outing to Kennedy. The mountains were steep and slippery, but both kids did a good job of climbing. The played for a long time and it was me that got cold first and had to wait in the car for a bit--no surprise there! It is a blessing to have such great family time together!
