Camping

Memorial day was a a hot one this year.  But we had a new tent and we don't know how much we will get to use it this summer, so we gave camping a try.  Probably not the best idea, but we had some good moments despite the challenges.

We went up on Saturday and hit the beach for the majority of the day.  The cool lake water felt pretty good.  The kids also enjoyed the naturalists table about rocks.  The campsite was hot and very buggy.  I sort of wanted to give up and bail after first arriving.  Thankfully Troy was our strong one and had the determination to make the night happen.  The kids had fun in the creek.  Timothy even caught a frog!  Unfortunately, they also gotten eaten up by the bugs.

The night cooled off and we slept okay.  The next day was pretty buggy too.  We hung around for awhile before heading to Aunt Mary's for a night.  We had fun at her house too.  We were thankful for no bugs and air conditioning!
