October weekends

October is nearly over, so it is about time to add a few pictures from the month.  We made a trip to Papa's Pumpkin Patch in Bellevue, Iowa.  It was great! There were bounce houses, animals, games, and a wagon ride.  The kids had a lot of fun and we found a great big pumpkin to take home and a cute little one too.  Teresa liked the animals best and Timothy probably liked jumping the most.

Another fall weekend, we made a trip to Swiss Valley Park for a hike.  Teresa loves the cougars in the nature center (stuffed ones) and Timothy likes to explore and see the snakes and turtles.  We went for a short hike and played some at the creek.  The kids had fun dropping leaves and sticks in the creek and watching them float away with the current.

The fall colors were beautiful!  This picture does not quite capture the beauty, but comes close.  The bright yellows and rust oranges were at their peak!  It has been a good October.
