A birthday weekend!

Troy had his birthday celebration this past weekend.  His birthday was really on Monday, but extended the festivities for him.  It really began last weekend with an afternoon seeing a Garrison Keillor show.  On Friday, Troy and I had a late dinner together.  On Saturday we went as a family down by the river and attended the October Festival.  The kids had fun climbing on the rocks by the river.  It was a great sunny day.

On Sunday the kids were anxious to give Troy his presents, so we did a little celebrating in the morning.  After church they wanted to do water balloons, so we called that Troy's party games!

My parents were visiting this weekend, so Troy and I also got to sneak off for a bit Sunday afternoon.  We again ended up down by the river--one of Troy's favorite places.  We walked some and then listened to music at the Star brewery.

Of course it was another cheesecake, but a new version this year...Chocolate peanut butter mousse cheesecake!  Yum!

Troy's gift this year was a new pair of red shoes.  A fun surprise to add a bit of color to his wardrobe!

For dinner on his birthday, Troy picked Texas Roadhouse.  He had the pleasure of riding on the saddle and being cheered for by the whole restaurant.  As the picture shows, we were all quite entertained by this part of the meal!

It was a fun weekend to celebrate a wonderful man and father!  Happy Birthday Troy!
