Family Camp Birthday!

This year Teresa celebrated her birthday while we were at family camp. This was a new environment,so we worked hard to make it a fun and memorable day.  I had the birthday sign to decorate the room and she had a stack of presents to open through out the day.
She staggered her presents so they lasted all day.  At each break in the day we headed to our room to open something new!
We had birthday crowns to wear, so lots of the other campers new it was a day to celebrate.  She got many wishes for a happy birthday.  The morning was spent in chapel and Bible study.
Lunch did not turn out to be food she really liked, but there was a great dessert!  The whole camp sang Happy Birthday and she got a mini chocolate cake with candles.  She was very surprised and happy by this!
In the afternoon we went on a tubing trip down a near by river.  It was sunny and warm and the water felt nice.  The whole ride was relaxing and fun and a special thing to do on a birthday.

I had her save her biggest gift for after dinner.  She got the Princess Leia costume that she had been hoping for!  She enjoyed wearing it around our room through out the week.

I think it was a memorable and fun day for Teresa.  She was so thankful for all her gifts and the ways she was celebrated.  He joyful nature was shining strong this day!

And Teresa is happy to have a few more celebrations to look forward to in the coming weeks!
