The Wedding

Our last month has been a busy one with our big move and our period of homelessness.  During this time we also had some fun family events.  We welcomed our new nephew/cousin Mattias (see his picture in the previous post.) And we had a family wedding. It was no ordinary wedding as our whole family had a part.  Troy had the privilege of officiating for my brother and his bride Krista.  I had the honor of being a bridesmaid.  And Timothy and Teresa got to be ring bearer/ flower girl respectively along with their four cousins.  Among her other great qualities, Krista is certainly brave to invite 6 kids ages 10 to 2 to be a part of her wedding!!  It was a wonderful day celebrating with Dan and Krista!
The night before the wedding we had a rehearsal and dinner at Krista's dad's  home.  It was a lovely evening.  The cousins did a little run through of their part.  They were all dressed alike and looked so cute!
We arrived a little early for the wedding in order to be a  part of pictures.  We had a nice room to get ready in and hang out in.  When the kids were not needed the all watched a bit of Max and Ruby and played Angry Birds.
A family picture of the Troftgrubens all spiffed up and smiling!  The weather was perfect for an outdoor wedding.  A bit overcast and not too warm.
The happy bride and groom with the six littlest members of the wedding party!
My brothers and I with my parents.
Troy hard at work during the ceremony.  It is always nice to have a pastor in the family!  He did a great job and gave a very nice message.
Grandma Judy and Auntie Susie were invited to help a bit with kid duty during the ceremony and reception since Troy and I were a little busy.  One of the best quotes from the wedding...Teresa said, "Is the wedding over yet?"  She was loud enough for Dan to hear it!
The kids did great during a long afternoon and lat night.  Teresa was entertained at the reception by Susie's iPhone apps and a nice big sucker.
We were able to stay for a little of the dance.  Timmy thought that part was really fun.  Teresa even danced a little in Troy's arms.  We ad to head home, however when Timothy asked when we could go home because he was tired.  Both kids enjoyed the ride home because the were so interested in seeing it dark outside.  I guess we don't stay out late very often.  We were blessed to be a part of such a happy occasion!
