Teresa celebrated her 4th birthday this week. She told me it was the best birthday ever, so it must have been a good day! We tried to do some fun things to make it a special day.
She had a decorated birthday chair. Although the two meals we ate at home, she sat at the counter. The chair still looked festive in our kitchen. She opened a couple presents in the morning and then had to wait for Troy to come home from work to open the rest.
Teresa got to eat off of the celebration plate. She chose scones for her b-day breakfast. We stuck a candle in it since she would not have a cake until her party on Saturday.
In the morning we went to Timothy's chiropractor appointment and then stopped at a playground on the way home. After lunch we went to Jumpin' Janes and Timothy and Teresa played hard for over 2 hours. They also played really well together!
Troy had to leave for work before Teresa was awake and could not join us for any of the daytime fun. To show her he was thinking of her, he bought her a bouquet of flowers!
Teresa's request for dinner was to have hot dogs at the Dairy Queen. And of course ice cream in a cone for a treat.
We even stuck a candle in her ice cream and sang her happy birthday. The wind made it hard to light, but Troy got it glowing. We had one happy girl.
We are blessed by this sweet girl of ours. She still loves sea creatures and now likes big cats too. Still no need for dolls and she passed on Frozen stickers for Minion stickers at her doctor appointment. She loves to play pretend with all of her animals...playing zoo, rain forest, vet, farm, rescue puppies. Books continue to be a favorite and she can "read" to you too as a result of an amazing memory. She loves to play with Timmy and especially loves to copy him still. She is growing up in so many ways and we are so proud of her!
