Vacation part 2

While we were in the Colorado we celebrated Timothy's baptism.  There was a neat church built on a rock near our cabin and it had a small stream flowing right by it.  Troy did a little remembrance by the water for Timothy.  Then the kids had fun climbing on the rocks.

Teresa didn't want to be left of the climbing and posing.  But she had to have daddy with her as she is not quite as steady in her climbing abilities.

Our celebrating of Timothy included a pizza lunch in Estes Park, a visit to fun city for bumper cars and the big slide and an afternoon ice cream cone.  A pretty good day!

By the second week, Timothy was finally feeling better, so we attempted some hiking.  Our first hike was up a ridge by Lilly lake.  Not a hard or far hike, but it gave us some great views.

Although we had our ups and downs, we enjoyed our stay in the mountains.  Timothy cried when we left and we will always have many memories of this trip!

On our last full day in the mountains, we joined several other families (26 people I think) and hiked up Lilly mountain (9,000 some ft!).  Timothy was definitely feeling better...he led the pack as we hiked up and down.  Even Teresa hiked up a lot of the way.  She wanted to hold Jasmine's hand (the 12 year old daughter of the directors of LAR) and that motivated her to walk.  Most of the way down Troy carried her as the loose gravel was slippery.  We are very proud of our kiddos for hiking a mountain at 3 and 6!  This was a fabulous memory to end the trip on!
