Busy Month of May!

The month of May is a busy one for our family.  Lots of good things, but something almost every night, which we are not used to.  We started out with Teresa's kindergarten orientation.  She got to meet here teacher, Mrs. Pfohl, and play a little in her classroom.  She will have the same teacher as Timothy did.  She was pretty excited to get a taste of kindergarten.
Timothy had his first baseball game this week too.  No pictures of that.  It went well and he had some good hits.  Teresa and I watched part of the game and saw him up to bat once.

Troy had the debut of the 'band' he was a part of -- The Troftgroovins!  It was for a BBQ at Wartburg.  He and several faculty, spouses and students have been practicing for the last few months.  Their music was great and it was a really fun event.  The kids loved the bounce house and rolling down the hill.  The also liked seeing their friend, Wartburg student Henne.  She has been so sweet to Timothy and Teresa this year and she will be missed when she returns to Germany at the end of the summer.
Smiling with their favorite Wartburg student!

Me and the Troftgroovins base player!

Making the music happen.  Timothy was most impressed that his daddy knew Happy!
We did not have much planned for Mother's day weekend.  Saturday was a nice day--not too hot or cool, so I decided to plant the garden.  I had some pretty eager assistants this year.  Below is the before picture. Hopefully I can put one up later that shows all kinds of plants growing!
It was a perfect day for a picnic lunch on the deck too.
And on Mother's day was treated very well by my sweet family.  Breakfast made by Troy.  A card and flower from Teresa.  A beautiful handmade decoration from Timothy.  It is nice to feel loved by those I love so much.  I had hoped to have a picnic lunch, but it was a bit chilly, so we held off on that.  We did spend some family time at a playground which was fun.
There is much more to come in this month with events at Wartburg, the ending of school, field trips, camping trips, visits to Verona.  Busy, busy, busy, but lots of FUN!
