End of the Year Fun!

Timothy is coming close to the end of his first grade year.  He had a fun celebration at the arboretum.  It was a big crowd with grades k to 3 there with their families.  Each grade performed 3 songs.  We brought a picnic dinner to enjoy before the show.  Thankfully the wind had died down from yesterday and the high temp of 58 did not feel too chilly with the sun shining.

Timothy did a great job singing his songs and doing his actions.  We are very proud of our boy!

Teresa had her last day of school and was very excited that it was her last day of being a preschooler.  She picked out a special outfit.  She originally had her snowman shirt picked, but we decided that might be too warm.
This year we decided to let the kids pick a place to eat out on their last day of school.  It was a hard choice for Teresa between Culver's and Texas Roadhouse.  In the end we went with Texas Roadhouse and the hot dogs.  And that meant she and I would bake a treat for after dinner.  She was my little helper to make her requested rocky road cake!  After dinner we went to Noah's ark for a family night.  The kids sang some songs and listened to some stories.  They weren't up front performing, but rather sitting on the floor facing the teachers.  It was a little hard to see Teresa, but she sang and did actions with much enthusiasm and occasionally she turned around with a big smile and waved!
 Smiles with mom and dad!
Celebrating with some rocky road cake.  Candles make it even more fun!

Timothy had another event at school too, the brown bag lunch.  Parents were invited to have lunch with their first grader. The kids performed some poems for us and Mrs. Wren had a slideshow to watch.  It was a special day.

Big smiles and happy to share the day with mom and dad!
We are so proud of both of our kiddos and the great year it has been for both of them!
